PAPER PEOPLE - For all types of destruction and recycling

Why recycle

Recycling is good for our environment

Recycling helps reduce the burden on Australian forests for paper pulp, and on the use of landfill sites to store waste.

It is estimated that between 60,000 and 100,000 hectares of NSW woodland is cleared every year. In the past 200 odd years, we've managed to wipe out half the Australian bush.

There is some good news though. Of the approximate 250 million tonnes of new paper pulp globally produced each year, around 100 million tonnes is from recycled fibre.

In Australia, approximately 1.5 million tonnes of waste paper is recovered for recycling. That's around 50% of all the paper used, and makes our country one of the best paper recycling nations in the West.

By using the all Australian-owned Paper People to recycle your paper waste, you can contribute to these encouraging figures. As an extra incentive, you'll also save money in waste disposal costs. Call us today.
